Splendid Saturday

| February 2, 2019 @ 1:03 pm

Most of North/Central Alabama is enjoying plentiful sunshine today and overall it is a very nice winter’s day across the state. There are a few more clouds across southern portions of the state, and there could even be a shower down that way today, but for the most part, much of the state will be rain-free today.

Temperatures have warmed up nicely today, and many of us are in the lower to mid 60s…Not too shabby for the first Saturday in February!!!

TONIGHT: Clouds will be on the increase tonight and we can’t completely rule out a stray shower or two, but once again, most locations will be staying dry. Lows tonight should range from the upper 40s to lower 50s.

SUNDAY: Tomorrow looks to feature increasing clouds and scattered showers are possible, but nothing too heavy or widespread. Tomorrow’s high will be in the 60s again.

THE WEEK AHED: Not a lot of change in the forecast for the week ahead as it will be unseasonably warm with occasional showers at times. Monday will once again see highs in the mid to upper 60s, but 70s looks to return to much of North/Central Alabama Tuesday through Thursday, and we may even have mid 70s in some spots. Down across southern portions of the state, perhaps and 80 degree reading or two will be possible as well. As far as the rain threat, each day will feature more clouds than sun, and occasional showers will be possible at just about any time. Nothing too heavy or widespread, but more of a nuisance for some. Rain chances on a daily basis will be in the 30-40% range. We may also have a few rumbles of thunder at times, but there is no threat of severe weather any day at this time.
