The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CST for central Alabama.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CST FOR NORTHEASTERN WALKER COUNTY… At 744 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Sipsey, or 8 miles north of Sumiton, moving northeast at 45 mph.

     HAZARD…Tornado.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
     IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include… Powellville.
