Update for Tuscaloosa and Jefferson Counties

A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for northeastern Tuscaloosa County, for areas north of Brookwood. The storm is passing only about 5 miles north of the town of Brookwood. !t does have a hook echo on it, and some rotation. It will pass into western Jefferson County, passing near Mud Creek and eventually to near Concord and Hueytown.

It will pass near or just north of County Road 38 between Abernant and Valley Creek. We are monitoring it in case it produces any indication of a tornado. Other storms over Tuscaloosa County up into Fayette County are strong, but not severe at this time. They will affect Walker and Jefferson Counti

Another severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for northern Jefferson County. A dangerous storm is moving through Pinson and Clay and VZillage Springs. It is passing just north of Center Point. It also has a hook echo on it.
