…THE TORNADO WARNING FOR PICKENS COUNTY IS CANCELLED…

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for west central Alabama.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT FOR PICKENS COUNTY… At 1200 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Aliceville, moving northeast at 45 mph.

     HAZARD…Tornado.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
     IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include… Aliceville, Gordo, Reform, Carrollton, Pickensville, Ethelsville, McMullen, Garden, Ashcraft Corner, Johnston Lake, Bevill Lock And Dam, Gainesville Lake Campground, Dillburg, North Pickens Airport, McShan, Shaw, George Downer Airport, Owens, Kirk and Cochrane.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT FOR PICKENS AND NORTHWESTERN SUMTER COUNTIES… At 1147 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Cooksville, or 15 miles southwest of Aliceville, moving northeast at 50 mph.

     HAZARD…Tornado.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
     IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Until 1245 AM CDT.

* At 1138 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Electric Mills, or 21 miles northwest of
    Livingston, moving northeast at 50 mph.
    HAZARD…Tornado.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
    IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
    Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
