Fog Across the Tennessee Valley

| May 6, 2019 @ 5:34 am

Areas of fog, some of it dense in spots, have developed across portions of north Alabama and southern middle Tennessee. Locations
near rivers and lakes are the most impacted. Visibilities have fallen below one mile in isolated areas.

A dense fog advisory is in effect for Jackson, Marshall, and DeKalb Counties in Northeast Alabama.

Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution, particularly near rivers and lakes, as visibilities will vary significantly given the
patchy nature of the fog. Use low beams, reduce driving speed, and allow for plenty of room between you and other cars.

The fog should begin to dissipate around 8 AM.
