A Very Nice Midday Across Central Alabama

| May 6, 2019 @ 11:37 am

Other than just a few fair-weather clouds floating overhead as we are making the run-up to the midday hour, skies are mainly sunny across Central Alabama. Temperatures are already up into the lower to mid-70s for most of the area, but a few locations are up in the upper 70s. Those would be Tuscaloosa and Uniontown up to 79 degrees. The cool spot is Cullman at 70 degrees. Birmingham was at 73 degrees.

Weather for the rest of today will continue to stay mostly sunny with a few more of those fair-weather clouds forming, but not enough to dim any sunshine. Afternoon highs will make it up into the lower to mid-80s, but these highs will feel very comfortable with a drier airmass in place and winds out of the north around 5 MPH. We’ll have clear skies tonight with overnight lows in the mid-50s to the lower 60s.

Almost an exact duplicate forecast for Tuesday with the only exception being warmer high temperatures. Skies will be mainly sunny once again but those afternoon highs will get up into the mid-80s to the lower 90s across the area from northwest to southeast. Skies will remain mainly clear throughout the overnight hours with lows in the lower to mid-60s.
