Mainly Sunny & Already Warm Out There At Midday

| May 7, 2019 @ 11:45 am

CONDITIONS AT 11:40 AM
While there are some thin and high clouds filtering out the sunshine somewhat over the northern half of the area, much of the southern half of Central Alabama has sunny skies. Temperatures at this time are in the upper 70s to the mid-80s across the area. Birmingham was at 81 degrees while Montgomery and Tuscaloosa are tied as the warm spots at 84 degrees. The cool spots were Cullman and Haleyville at 77 degrees.

WEATHER FOR THE REST OF YOUR TUESDAY
Other than a few thinner and high clouds floating overhead, skies will stay mainly sunny during the remainder of the afternoon and into the early evening hours. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s, but I have a feeling there will be someone topping out at or just above 90 degrees. We’ll have to wait and see who the winner will be. For tonight, skies will be mainly clear with lows dipping down into the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

DRY & GETTING HOT FOR MOST ON WEDNESDAY
If by chance no one hits the 90 degree mark today, it will happen on Wednesday. Skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy and we may have a very small chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm in the extreme eastern parts of the area. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-80s to the lower 90s across the area. Wednesday night will be partly to mostly cloudy with a very small chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm over the extreme northern parts of the area. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.
