Slight Risk Locations Reduced, Storms Winding Down West Of I-59

| May 9, 2019 @ 2:59 pm

The Storm Prediction Center has reduced the Slight Risk locations to along and ahead of the line of strong to severe storms that continue to move across North/Central Alabama. A Marginal Risk remains for the remainder of North/Central Alabama just in case redevelopment occurs behind the line.

At 2:52 pm, the line now stretches from Ranburne back to the southwest to Dadeville to Prattville with the stronger activity that affected the northern portions of the area now pushed over in Georgia. We do have some stronger storms in the south as a severe t-storm warning was just issued for parts of Lowndes County.

We will continue to have the risk of a few stronger to severe storms through the remainder of the afternoon and into the early evening hours until the instability subsides or when the storms move out of the area.
