Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Calhoun And Talladega Counties Until 7:30PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for…
    Northeastern Talladega County in east central Alabama…
    South central Calhoun County in east central Alabama…

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 535 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
    Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. One to two inches of rain have already fallen and some areas may receive another inch of rain.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Anniston, Oxford, Fort McClellan, Cobb Town, West End-Cobb Town, Saks, Munford, Hobson City, Grant Town, Anniston Regional Airport, Oxford Lake, Blue Mountain, Bynum, Choccolocco, Dearmanville and
    Jenifer.
