Mid-Morning Weather Check

| May 22, 2019 @ 9:19 am

As of 9:00 am, skies are mostly clear across Central Alabama on this beautiful Wednesday morning, but be prepared for hot temperatures this afternoon and into the early evening hours. Temperatures at this point are in the mid to upper 70s across the area. Birmingham was at 79, tied with Tuscaloosa as the warm spot. A few locations were tied as the cool spots at 74 degrees. Get ready, afternoon highs will be up in the lower to mid-90s today.

All of Central Alabama will be dry today and through the rest of the week and weekend, with our next chance of rain not coming until next Thursday morning, May 30th. There may be a brief passing shower today in the extreme northwestern corner of the state (Muscle Shoals and points west) as a front will be passing by, but only a very small chance at best.

I’ll be back at midday to check those temperatures. Y’all stay cool.
