Confirmed, Mile Wide Tornado Moving Toward Western Parts of Kansas City Metro

Debris is clearly indicated in the correlation coefficient product (bottom right panel).

A tornado has affected south and eastern parts of Lawrence and Wakarusa in Kansas this evening and is moving toward the western part of the KC Metro area.

The tornado is near Linwood.

It is reported to be a mile wide.

A tornado emergency is in effect for the western part of the KC Metro.
