Alabama Early This Afternoon

Showers were fairly numerous across the south 1/3 of Alabama early this afternoon.

This included a line of heavy showers along with some thunderstorms from West Central Alabama into Extreme South Alabama.

To be more exact, the line extended from near Demopolis and Greensboro southeastward to near Camden, Greenville and Andalusia. Most of the lightning is in that part of the state.

A moderate to heavy shower was moving north through East St. Clair County.

There will be a general increase in activity as the afternoon goes on. Some communities will get downpours again today.

John Talbot, the 33/40 Skywatcher for Concord/Hueytown, in SW Jefferson County, reported 0.51 since midnight.
