Strong To Severe Storms Slowly Moving Through North Alabama At 6:40 PM

| July 4, 2019 @ 6:44 pm

At 6:40 pm, strong to severe thunderstorms are moving slowly through North Alabama. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 7:00 pm for parts of Madison, Limestone, and Morgan counties for a cluster of storms that are capable of producing damaging winds up to 60 MPH and penny size hail. This cluster is moving eastward at around 10-15 MPH.

If you are in Elkmont, Harvest, Huntsville, Mooresville, and Triana, be ready to move to a safe place when this cluster of storms approach. Deadly cloud-to-ground lightning and very heavy rainfall can be expected with these storms.

These should start to weaken and diminish over the next couple of hours.
