…THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN LEE AND NORTHWESTERN RUSSELL COUNTIES IS CANCELLED…

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. However gusty winds are still possible with a large cluster of thunderstorms impacting Lee and Russell counties.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning Remains In Effect Until 3:15 PM CDT For Southeastern Lee And Northwestern Russell Counties

…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR SOUTHEASTERN LEE AND NORTHWESTERN RUSSELL COUNTIES… At 248 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Griffen Mill, or 12 miles west of Smiths, moving southwest at 20 mph.

     HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated.
     IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include… Griffen Mill, Uchee and Marvyn.

* At 238 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Griffen Mill, or 9 miles west of Smiths, moving southwest at 25 mph.
    HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.
