…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN JACKSON AND CENTRAL
MADISON COUNTIES UNTIL 200 PM CDT…
At 132 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Huntland to near Moores
Mill to Marshall Space Flight Center. Movement was east at 20 mph.
Pea size hail and wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph will be possible with
these storms. Very heavy rainfall with rates on the order of 2 to 3
inches per hour is also occuring with this line of storms.
Locations impacted include…
Huntsville, Madison, Moores Mill, Redstone Arsenal, Meridianville,
Hazel Green, Owens Cross Roads, Gurley, Alabama A And M University
and Marshall Space Flight Center.
