An Earlier Than Midday Report: Still Really Nice With A Few Clouds

| July 26, 2019 @ 10:21 am

As of 10:15 am, skies across Central Alabama are mostly clear but we do have a few clouds floating overhead that is blocking out the sun’s rays for a few minutes at a time. Temperatures are currently in the upper 70s to the mid-80s across the area. Birmingham was at 82 degrees while the warm spot was Maxwell Air Force Base at 85 degrees. The cool spot was Gadsden at 79 degrees.

Skies will be mostly sunny for a little while longer, but as the heat builds, we’ll have some convective clouds begin to form and grow to make skies partly cloudy. No rain is expected and highs will be in the upper 80s to the lower 90s across the area. There will be a few clouds leftover during the late-night and overnight hours with lows dropping into the mid-60s to the lower 70s across the area.

Looks like we will stay dry again on Saturday even though humidity levels will be on the rise. That will make the afternoon highs in the upper 80s to the lower 90s feel a little less comfortable and a little more sticky. Skies will start off mostly clear but clouds will form and grow with the heating of the day to make skies partly cloudy across the area.
