An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

CLEARING LATER TODAY: Lingering light rain should move out of here by late morning, and clearing is likely this afternoon as dry air moves into Alabama. This will set the stage for a rain-free weekend, with mostly sunny warm days and fair pleasant nights. We will begin the weekend with upper 50s tomorrow morning, followed by highs in the mid 80s tomorrow, and upper 80s Sunday. Some parts of West Alabama will be close to 90 Sunday afternoon.

NEXT WEEK: For now we will leave Monday’s forecast dry, then bring in some risk of widely scattered afternoon storms Tuesday. The coverage of showers and storms should increase a bit Wednesday thanks to another upper trough passing through. The rest of the week should feature typical June weather, with warm and humid conditions and some risk of a passing afternoon shower or storm.

VOODOO LAND: The 00Z GFS continues the idea of a tropical system lifting northward from the Caribbean, across Cuba and the Bahamas, and then over the Atlantic, parallel to the east coast of the U.S. late next week. If this happens to be correct, there will be on impact on Alabama, and the wind and the rain shield will stay off the Atlantic coast. But, voodoo is just that.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes.
