Damage Reports Pouring In From Across The Northwest Corner Of The State

The good news is that the rotation seems to be weakening on the storm moving into Athens, but the bad news is that there are plenty of damage reports already coming into NWS Chat. Here is what we have so far:

4:53 pm – Reports of power outages in Allsboro

4:54 pm – Reports of trees down 2 miles south of Highway 72 Allsboro community

5:01 pm – Reports structure damage in Colbert heights community Foster Nollan Rd in Colbert Heights.

5:14 pm – Update from Colbert – report of multiple structures damaged in Colbert Heights area, specifically near Lynn Dr and also Foster Nolen Rd.

5:18 pm – Power lines down on Alabama Highway 101 just south of Alabama Highway 20.

5:20 pm – Power out in Courtland.

5:26 pm – 18 wheeler overturned on Alabama 20 at intersection County Road 150 due to wind.

5:30 pm – Reports of two mobile homes damaged on County Road 265 in Town Creek.

5:37 pm – Mobile home damaged on County Road 262 possible children trapped.
