Flood Advisory For Pike, Bullock, Macon, & Montgomery Counties Until 7:00 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Northern Pike County in southeastern Alabama…
Bullock County in southeastern Alabama…
Southeastern Macon County in southeastern Alabama…
Southeastern Montgomery County in south central Alabama…

* Until 700 PM CST.

* At 359 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Troy, Union Springs, Midway, Meadville, Banks, Pickett, Pine Level,
Aberfoil, Dublin, Franklin Field, Beans Crossroads, Guerryton,
Linwood, Shopton, Davisville, Warriorstand, High Ridge, Perote,
Josie and Fort Davis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
