The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Southern Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…
Shelby County in central Alabama…
Northern Bibb County in central Alabama…

* Until 1130 AM CST.

* At 536 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
flooding. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Southern Tuscaloosa, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Calera, Chelsea,
Montevallo, Columbiana, Wilsonville, Holt, Moundville, Vincent,
Lake View, Brookwood, Coaling, Harpersville, Vance, Woodstock,
Westover and West Blocton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
