Stronger Storms Affecting Parts of Marshall, Madison, Morgan, Jackson Counties

As of 3:16 pm, emergency management reported a strong thunderstorm producing pea-sized hail near Lacey’s Spring, or 12 miles southeast of Redstone Arsenal, moving east at 55 mph. Pea size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.

You need to get indoors immediately if you are in the following locations: Southern Huntsville, Scottsboro, Guntersville, Redstone Arsenal, Owens Cross Roads, Grant, Woodville, Triana, Morgan City, and Langston.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike several miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
