The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southern Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 715 PM CDT.

* At 623 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fairview, or
8 miles southwest of Red Bay, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Vina, Hodges, Atwood, Duketon, Spruce Pine,
Little Bear Creek Reservoir and Halltown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northwestern
Alabama.
