Flood Warning For Colbert, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Morgan Counties Until 10:15 PM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Southeastern Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…
Northwestern Morgan County in north central Alabama…
Northern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 1015 PM CDT.

* At 721 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. One to two inches of rain
with locally higher amounts have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Decatur, Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Priceville,
Trinity, Rogersville, Killen and Town Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
