Strong storms continue tonight across the northern third of Alabama tonight, with developing storms in West Alabama as well.

The strongest storms extend from northern Lamar County to near Double Springs in Winston County to west of Cullman in northern Cullman County on to a tornado warned storm in northeastern Marshall County. A new tornado warning has been issued for parts of Marshall County, into Jackson and northern DeKalb County.

To the south, developing storms cover a good bit of Tuscaloosa County. They will move into Bibb, southern Jefferson, and Shelby Counties.

The severe weather threat continues for areas north of a line from Demopolis to marion to CLanton to Alex City.

A tornado watch is in effect for the northern third of Alabama.
