Strong Storms Affecting Parts Of Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, & Bibb Counties

NWS Birmingham has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for portions of Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, and Bibb counties until 8:00 am.

At 7:36 am, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bankhead Lock And Dam to near Lake Wildwood to near Moundville. The movement was east at 55 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Move indoors immediately until the storms pass if you are located in Southwestern Birmingham, Bessemer, Hueytown, Fairfield, Fultondale, Pleasant Grove, Midfield, Adamsville, Brighton, Lipscomb, Lake View, Brookwood, Coaling, Sylvan Springs, Vance, Woodstock, West Blocton, Mulga, Maytown and North Johns.
