Significant Weather Advisory For Patchy Dense Fog across all of northern Alabama

Patchy Dense Fog has developed across portions of northern Alabama this morning, with visibility reductions being enhanced by widespread drizzle and low stratus clouds. Visibility between 0.5 and 1 mile will be common in many valley areas, with locations in elevated terrain potentially seeing visibility reductions to 0.25 mile or lower.

Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution, as visibilities will vary significantly given the patchy nature of the fog. Use low beams, reduce driving speed, and allow for plenty of room between you and other cars.

Visibility is expected to improve by 10:00 am in valley areas, and by Noon in higher terrain locations.
