Flood Warning: Dekalb County Until 1:45 AM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Southeastern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 145 AM CDT Monday.

* At 737 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will
cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.
Emergency Management also reports flooding in some locations near
and to the southwest of Fort Payne.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Fort Payne, Rainsville, Valley Head, Hammondville, Mentone, Pine
Ridge, Dog Town, Collbran, Little River Canyon NP and Skirum.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
