Possible Tornado Passing South of Cullman, Much of Birmingham Metro to be Affected By Strong Winds

| April 12, 2020 @ 9:10 pm

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect for…

…much of Walker County
…much of Jefferson and Blount County
…parts of Cullman, Marshall, and Morgan

A tornado warning is in effect for parts of Cullman and Morgan Counties. A small tornado could occur from Good Hope to southern parts of Cullman to Holly Pond. A Tornado Debris Signature is now indicated.

Flash flood warnings are in effect for a large area

High winds will be moving across much of western and central Jefferson County to the downtown Birmingham area and areas to the eastern portion of the metro.

We can’t discount it still producing a tornado as well.

As a measure of extra, just be in your safe place as these storms approach.

Also, heavy rain will be causing flooding, from Pickens and Sumter Couty up through Fayette and Tuscaloosa Counties into Jefferson, Cullman, Blount, Marshall, and DeKalb Counties.
