Severe Threat Is Over, Tornado Watch Canceled

| April 13, 2020 @ 2:58 am

NWS Birmingham has canceled the last county, Barbour County, remaining in the Tornado Watch.

As of 2:55 am, nearly all of the shower and thunderstorm activity has pushed out of Central Alabama leaving only a few showers and claps of thunder in the extreme southeastern portions of the area. What we will be left with is gusty winds throughout the rest of the pre-dawn hours.

We will know at some point during the morning if any damage survey teams will be out inspecting possible tornado damage across the state.
