Satelite Sheldon Says Sunday May Be Deja Vu All Over Again

| April 17, 2020 @ 3:07 pm

From our resident Satellite Expert Sheldon Kusselson:

Here we go again? Is this deja vu? Same type of players are trying to get involved…there is a pesky late season low getting ready to move into southern CA and necessary dry air over NW Old Mexico into AZ and NM for possible severe aspects; then there is that high-level moisture in the tropical eastern Pacific trying to expand across Mexico into Texas. And of course, that low-level moisture continuing to lift north through SE Texas and expanding into Louisiana

Not exactly the same pattern as last weekend, but similar enough to expect a potential severe weather and heavy rain/flash flood event centered on this coming Sunday. Like last week everything will have to come together to be as bad as last week in spots. But folks have to be prepared and know where their weather is coming from to produce this type of weather. By my account, Birmingham and Montgomery have had at least Fourteen 1.00+ days since early October and the 15th could come on Sunday along with some severe weather.
