Wind Advisory for a Good Part of Central Alabama Until 10:00 pm

NWS Birmingham issues a Wind Advisory for Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Walker, & Winston counties until 10:00 pm tonight.

…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING…

* WHAT…West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* WHERE…Northern half of Central Alabama.

* WHEN…Until 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
