Two Storms of Interest, Flood Advisory Issued

| June 8, 2020 @ 2:29 pm

Two clusters of storms have my attention as of 2:24 pm… The first cluster is located over portions of Tuscaloosa and Fayette counties. These are putting down copious amounts of rain with a good bit of lightning and some gusty winds.

The second cluster is affecting the eastern parts of Jefferson County and over into western St, Clair and Talladega counties. Same story… heavy rainfall, plenty of lightning, and gusty winds.

NWS Birmingham just issued a Flood Advisory until 3:30 pm for portions of Blount, Jefferson, and St. Clair counties. Radar indicated heavy rain due to tropical downpours. Minor flooding could occur in the advisory area.
