CANCELED: Flood Warning for Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence Co. Until 1:30 pm

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…
Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…
Central Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
Western Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 130 PM CDT.

* At 1029 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms over Northwest Alabama including portions of western
Lauderdale, much of central Colbert, eastern portions of Franklin
County, and the western third of Lawrence County. Rainfall amounts
earlier this morning amounted to 2 to 3 inches before sunrise, so
the current rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches of rain will begin
to cause nuisance flooding shortly.

Florence, Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Phil
Campbell, Killen, Cherokee, Littleville, Leighton, St. Florian,
Underwood-Petersville, Belgreen, Waterloo, Colbert Heights, New
Bethel, Crooked Oak, Pride Landing, Posey Loop and Northwest
Alabama Regional Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
