The line of storms is now over East Alabama…from eastern Cherokee through western Cleburne, Clay, eastern Talladega, Chilton, Bibb, northern Perry, Hale and Greene Counties.

The strongest storms now are from Talladega down to Childersburg and Sylacauga.

Other stronger storms are in the Anniston area, as well as along US-278 near Piedmont.

There are strong storms along I-65 from the Montgomery area southwestward to near Fort Deposit.

Michelle Miklik reports .71 inches of rain today…Bud Bean in Northport also measured 0.71. Ronald Hughes in Coker picked up 0.67 through 8:08 p.m. with light rain continuing.

Vic Bell in Scrougeout only has seen 0.10.

1.10 is the current total through 7 p.m. at the Birmingham Airport. Beth Brooks out in Bluff park picked up 1.31 inches of rain through 7:45 p.m.

Looking to the west…there is a diminishing area of moderate rain over Central Mississippi, but I doubt it can get very much further east. The rest of the activity to our west has pushed south of I-20 in Louisiana and Mississippi for the most part.
