Front Approaching I-59

| November 15, 2020 @ 9:05 am

Our strong cold front is approaching I-59 this morning, extending from Scottsboro to Blooutsville to Sumiton to Geiger.

Winds will gust to 30-40 mph along and immediately behind the front. Ahead of the front, they are gusting to 15-25 mph at times.

The weakening but still sharp line of showers accompanies the front with another band lagging behind the front by about 50 miles.

There is some clearing directly behind the front, but skies will become cloudy again quickly.

Temperatures have fallen into the 50s and lower 60s over Northwest Alabama. It is 69F at Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Anniston this hour.
