At 1024 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Maytown, or 9 miles north of Hueytown, moving east at 45 mph.
Penny size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include…
Northern Birmingham, Trussville, Gardendale, Irondale, Leeds, Moody,
Fultondale, Center Point, Pleasant Grove, Clay, Pinson, Tarrant,
Adamsville, Argo, Graysville, Sylvan Springs, Brookside, Mulga,
Maytown and West Jefferson.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
