EXPIRED Flood Advisory Issued for Parts of Marengo Co. Until 12:45 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Marengo County in southwestern Alabama…

* Until 1245 PM CDT.

* At 944 AM CDT, Emergency Management reported heavy rain in the
advisory area due to thunderstorms. This is causing some roadways
to be covered with water, and minor flooding has been reported.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Demopolis, Linden, Uniontown, Jefferson, Thomaston, Sweet Water,
Myrtlewood, Faunsdale, Dayton, Freddie Jones Field, Miller,
Chickasaw State Park, Pin Hook, Wayne, Magnolia, Dixons Mill,
Surginer, Consul, Vineland and Nanafalia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
