Tornado Warning Continued for Jefferson & Walker Co. Until 4:30 pm

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN WALKER AND SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES…

At 346 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Bull City, or 14 miles west of Hueytown, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include…
Hueytown, Pleasant Grove, Adamsville, Graysville, Sylvan Springs,
Brookside, Mulga, Maytown, West Jefferson, Gorgas Steam Plant,
Edgewater, Concord, Quinton, Forestdale, Minor, McDonald Chapel,
Weller, Birmingport, Docena and Miller Steam Plant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Southeastern Walker County in central Alabama…
Southwestern Jefferson County in central Alabama…

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 334 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Bull City, or
14 miles northeast of Holt, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE…Public confirmed tornado.
