Strong Storms Will be Moving into Northwest Alabama Soon

A strong storm near Okalona in Northeast Mississippi prompted a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning. The tornado warning has expired.

The most dangerous part of the storm is going to move into Franklin County, Alabama about 7-7:15 p.m.

Numerous thunderstorms continue at this hour across northern and Central Mississippi. Low-level wind shear is very strong and storms are expected to continue to become severe into Northwest and North Central Alabama.

Additional tornado watches will be required prior to the expiration of the current watches.
