The Alabama town of Abbeville is probably best known for two characters: Huggin’ Molly and the Yella Fella and both have ties to a popular restaurant there.

Huggin’ Molly is a legendary ghost that finds children who are out on the streets of Abbeville after dark, grabs them and screams in their ear. The Yella Fella is the popular commercial persona of Jimmy Rane, founder and CEO of Great Southern Wood Preserving (YellaWood).

Rane also opened the Huggin’ Molly’s, a classic soda fountain-style restaurant with a menu that is both retro and modern.
