Tornado Warning for Calhoun County until 3:30 p.m.: Tornado Near Ragland, Approaching Ohatchee at 2:33 p.m.

UPDATE at 3:02

Confirmed tornado is passing just north of Alexandria in Calhooun Cunty. It is near Angel, approaching Alllsop and Roy Webb, and Asberry.

Very dangerous tornado southeast of Ragland, approaching Ohatchee.

Confirmed tornado passing near Ragland and Ohatchee. Moving in direction of Alexandria, Jacksonville, and Piedmont.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Calhoun County in east central Alabama…

* Until 330 PM CDT.

* At 222 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located over
Riverside, or near Pell City, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado.

SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Anniston, Jacksonville, Piedmont, Fort McClellan, Saks, West
End-Cobb Town, Glencoe, Weaver, Ohatchee, Blue Mountain,
Alexandria, Neely Henry Lake, Jacksonville State University,
Southside, Anniston Army Depot, Eastaboga, Knightens Crossroads,
Sulphur Springs and Wellington.
