CANCELED Tornado Warning for Parts of Jefferson County until 445 p.m.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT FOR EAST
CENTRAL JEFFERSON COUNTY…

At 450 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located over northeastern
Birmingham, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado.

SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include…
Northeastern Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Gardendale,
Irondale, Leeds, Moody, Fultondale, Center Point, Clay, Pinson,
Tarrant, Argo, Ketona Lakes, Chalkville, Shops of Grand River, Alton,
Grayson Valley, Barber Motorsports Park and Birmingham Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

* UNTIL 530 PM CDT.

* AT 445 PM CDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO
WAS LOCATED OVER NORTHEASTERN BIRMINGHAM, MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55
MPH.

HAZARD…TORNADO.

IMPACT…FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT
SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED.
DAMAGE TO ROOFS, WINDOWS, AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE
DAMAGE IS LIKELY.
