Tornado Watch for All Remaining Counties Has Been Canceled

| March 25, 2021 @ 10:52 pm

With all of the stronger to severe storms pushing off into Georgia and just general showers and some thunder left for North/Central Alabama, the Tornado watch for the remaining counties has been canceled.

The cold front is approaching the I-59 corridor, but it is moving into much more stable air. The storms that we experienced this afternoon and evening has really worked over the atmosphere. Plus, models did show that any storms would be weakening as we got closer to the late-night hours.

The Wind Advisories and the Flash Flood Watch for North Alabama will be canceled very shortly as well. The Wind Advisory in effect for Central Alabama has been canceled as well.

While a few claps of thunder will be possible with any showers over the eastern and southeastern parts of the area, especially south and east of the I-59 corridor, the severe weather threat has ended for North/Central Alabama.
