Storms Moving into Parts of Marion, Fayette, and Lamar Counties With Gusty Winds, Heavy Rain

Thunderstorms are moving into parts of Marion, Fayette, and Lamar Counties this morning.

NWS Offices in Birmingham and Memphis have posted Significant Weather Advisories for the areas outlined in peach on the graphic. Winds could gust to 40 mph with these storms, along with very heavy rainfall. There is some lightning as well.

A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for parts of Lamar, Marion, Fayette, Walker, and Winston Counties. Flash Flood Watches cover the northern third of the state.
