The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Pike County in southeastern Alabama…

* Until 615 PM CDT.

* At 411 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Troy, Brundidge, Goshen, Banks, Troy University, Antioch, Troy
Municipal Airport, Linwood, Ansley, Kent, Mossy Grove, Springhill,
Brundidge Municipal Airport, Tarentum, Monticello, Sandfield,
Orion, Henderson, Hamilton Crossroads and Josie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
