Alabama Newscenter — Giant Elephant Now Stands Outside University of Alabama Crimson Tide’s Stadium

The latest addition to the University of Alabama’s campus could be endearing to Crimson Tide fans and intimidating to fans of opponents who visit Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Tuska, a 19-foot-tall, 7-ton bronze elephant now stands on a pedestal and anchors Tuska Plaza on the southeast corner of University Boulevard and Wallace Wade Avenue in Tuscaloosa. New landscaping, sidewalks and lighting will make up the plaza, which is an extra-point kick away from the Walk of Champions leading into Bryant-Denny.
