Severe T-Storm Warning for Jefferson & Walker Co. Until 5:00 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southeastern Walker County in central Alabama…
Northwestern Jefferson County in central Alabama…

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 431 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Gorgas, or
near Cordova, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Sumiton, Cordova, Dora, Adamsville, Graysville, Parrish, Sipsey,
West Jefferson, Gorgas Steam Plant, Rocky Hollow, Burnwell, Beloit,
Quinton, Gorgas, Lynns Park, Sayre, Goodsprings, Barney, Empire and
Miller Steam Plant.
