The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Jefferson County in central Alabama…
West central St. Clair County in central Alabama…

* Until 530 PM CDT.

* At 458 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Fultondale,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Northern Birmingham, Trussville, Gardendale, Leeds, Moody,
Fultondale, Center Point, Clay, Pinson, Tarrant, Adamsville, Argo,
Graysville, Morris, Brookside, Cardiff, Ketona Lakes, Chalkville,
Grayson Valley and Birmingham Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in Birmingham.
