There are many backyard grilling and smoking aficionados whose friends and family have told them at one time or another they should consider opening a restaurant.

For Danny Loftin, that praise and suggestion came often enough that more than two decades ago, he decided to give it a go and opened Fat Boy’s Bar-b-que Ranch in Prattville.

It was a great move. Fat Boy’s is a Prattville mainstay and a destination for barbecue lovers far and wide.
