The Sun is Out & Temperatures Are Near Perfect As We Start the Mid-Afternoon Hours

Skies have cleared out as we have reached the mid-afternoon hours on this final Saturday in the month of May. As we are about to high the start of Meteorological Summer, it actually feels like we are in early Spring. Temperatures as of the 1:00 pm roundup were in the mid-60s to the upper 70s across the area. The warm spot is Troy at 77 degrees while the cool spot is Haleyvile at 66 degrees. Birmingham was sitting at 68 degrees.

Skies will be sunny through the rest of the daylight hours and will remain clear through the evening and overnight hours. Afternoon highs will top out in the mid-70s to the lower 80s across the area from northwest to southeast.

While the morning will start off rather cool on your Memorial Day, temperatures will quickly warm during the morning and into the mid-afternoon hours. Skies will be mainly sunny and highs will top out in the lower 80s to the lower 90s across the area from northwest to southeast.

As of 1 pm CDT, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days across the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico.
